The task of the BMW M2 is very clear - it is a real sports car with all the necessary features - compact, light, driven only by the rear wheels and with a powerful 3.0-liter turbo engine that is neither too big nor too small. True, it is not as light as it seems, but it is still more suitable for sports than the bigger brothers BMW M3 and M4 models, which have become too large and civilized. Of course, the BMW M2 is today's reincarnation of the classic BMW 2002. The new BMW M2, like its predecessor from the 70s, the BMW 2002, features a distinctive body design. The old BMW 2002 was called the "flying brick", the new BMW M2 would also be suitable for this name. The design of the new model is really aggressive - the emphatically angular front of the car with an unconventionally shaped radiator grille and three large air intakes in the bumper looks simply rude and doesn't really fit with the car's profile and rear part with softer shapes. Aggressiveness is also given to the car by strongly protruding side sills and extremely wide rear wheel arches. The body design of the BMW M2 looks unfinished and primitive. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, because the M2 isn't supposed to be subtle or refined. Of course, the main element of the M2 is the powerful M TwinPower Turbo in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine. The engine of the new model is even 66 kW (90 hp) more powerful than the predecessor and reaches 460 hp. That's just 20 hp less than the standard BMW M3 model, and the two cars have the same torque output. BMW M2 version with automatic transmission from 0 to 100 km/h. accelerates in just 4.1 seconds, and with the manual - in 4.3 seconds. The maximum speed of the car is limited to 250 km/h, but can be increased to 285 km/h. after purchasing the M Driver package. Peak torque of 550 Nm is available between 2,650 and 5,870 rpm, while peak power is available at 6,250 rpm. Inside the car, unlike the outside, everything is simple and clear. In front of the driver's eyes is a curved LCD screen, which displays various information important to the driver, and all other control tools are arranged in traditional BMW style.
