From now on, all BMW 3 Series cars with coupe and convertible bodies will become BMW 4 Series. At this point, the company wants to emphasize the uniqueness and sportiness of the coupe compared to the more traditional 3 Series. This step has already been taken by one of the main competitors, Audi, which has transformed the A4 series coupe into a new A5 class. So, the first impression given by the BMW 4 Series is really good. The body design features dynamic lines, beautiful proportions and a true finished BMW style. Compared to the older generation coupe, the body has become wider, lower and longer. The only body part left the same as the 3 Series BMW is the bonnet. Inside, the car has the same interior as the four brother - the devices are arranged logically, the design - laconic. The 4 Series BMW has the lowest center of gravity of all the BMW cars, 10 mm lower than the "third". Considering this, a stronger body and a stiffer suspension, we get a perfectly controlled car. True, the suspension is a bit stiff at low speeds over larger bumps, but overall, the car is comfortable enough. Despite the fact that the 4 Series is a two-car, practicality has not been forgotten. All models have an automatic boot opening mechanism - just put your foot under the rear bumper and the boot lid will open. The luggage compartment is also not modest - it is only 35 liters smaller than the BMW 3 Series. Rear passengers, although they have limited headroom, get more space than their main competitors - the C-Class Mercedes coupe and the Audi A5. Customers are offered the following 4 Series versions: the BMW 435i with six-cylinder petrol, the BMW 428i with four-cylinder petrol engine and the BMW 420d with four-cylinder diesel engine with power ranging from 184 hp to 306 hp. The engines are assembled with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Versions are also available with the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system.
The 4 Series BMW has the lowest center of gravity among all BMW cars.
