Buyers of the second-generation BMW Active Tourer in the second-generation are greeted with the same message: a compact minivan, with a sporty silhouette and a slightly more moderate design than other larger BMW models. The BMW company decided not to take risks and stuck to the stylistics of its predecessor, although this model did not do without a huge radiator grille. Although the predecessor could not boast of extremely good sales, it was still to be expected, because nowadays buyers admire crossovers, many of which can offer not only the same interior space as the monovolume, but also better passage. The silhouette of the new BMW 2 Active Tourer has been streamlined - with redesigned struts, window lines, recessed door handles, no exhaust pipes, narrower headlights and sleek taillights - all giving homogeneity to both modernity and dynamism and elegance. The new car is larger than its predecessor in all dimensions - it has become 32 mm longer than before, the width has increased by 24 mm, and the roof line is also 21 mm higher. BMW says there is significantly more space for the shoulders, head and legs of the rear passengers than in the previous model. BMW engineers have also significantly increased the boot capacity of the Active Tourer to 90 liters. The boot capacity ranges from 415 liters for petrol models to 470 liters for diesel, with a maximum capacity of 1405 liters and 1455 liters when the rear seats are folded down, respectively. The rechargeable hybrid has a slightly smaller luggage capacity of 1,370 liters. In addition, the car's rear seats can be moved 13 cm forward. Convenient that the new model will have an electrically operated boot lid as standard. The BMW 2 Active Tourer looks particularly good on the inside, with many details taken from the recently unveiled BMW iX electric car. In front of the driver - a narrow instrument panel, curved monitor, elegant air vents and minimalism of buttons. The most powerful is the 223i, with an engine power of 160 kW / 218 hp. It is developed by a 150 kW / 204 hp petrol engine together with a 14 kW / 19 hp electric power plant. The 220i has 125 kW / 170 hp and the 218i has 100 kW / 136 hp. The diesel version of the 218d has an efficient 110 kW / 150 hp engine with a fuel consumption of 4.8-5.3 liters. Hybrid versions of the 230e with a mains-rechargeable high-voltage battery are also available. These models can cover up to 80 km without electricity alone, without any emissions.
