The new BMW 5 Series Code E60 is a completely redesigned sedan or station wagon. Designed by the controversial Chris Bangle, the car has a really interesting design - intricately shaped front headlights, beautifully crafted taillights, and a trunk lid that forms the second floor at the rear of the car. The interior is no less interesting, very similar to the flagship of the 7 series, but has nothing to do with the older 5 series. The style of the car is really unique, luxurious and not to be confused with anything. Design is seen ambiguously, but in any case it is not boring. The 5 Series is again available with a full range of engines, excellent diesel engines deliver high torque and are even more economical. The E60 is a significant step forward in technology - the car can once again have an Xdrive all-wheel drive system (shared with the X3 and X5), another iDrive system that can control the entire car system from interior lighting, autopilot to suspension settings. There is general agreement that the car is great - high technology, powerful engines, great diesels, good all-wheel drive Xdrive system, amazing handling, solid comfort and good durability. It’s hard to find a truly equivalent opponent to this Bavarian. Cons - Although the iDrive system is simplified compared to the BMW 7 Series, it is still very complicated to use.
