The Volkswagen Golf Mk4 has once again become a very successful model in Europe. The Golf is now being marketed as a higher-end car with a high-quality interior and better equipment, as the Volkswagen Group offers other cheaper representatives in this class - the Skoda Fabia, Seat Leon. As a result, the Golf is more reminiscent of the more expensive Audi A3. This generation of Golf was not designed as a convertible, instead the company uses an older version of the convertible with replaced front, rear bumpers, and headlights. The new generation of GTI models has a 1.8 turbo engine with a power output of 150 hp and was later upgraded to 180 hp. However, the most powerful version of the R32 had a brand new VR6 3.2 L engine with 24 valves and 241 hp (180 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (an even more powerful Audi TT R32 engine with 250 hp for 0-100 km / h per 6.6 seconds). All in all, the Golf again made a great impression - high-quality interior, smooth ride, comfortable and spacious. But while some praise the all-encompassing quality of the Golf, others point to common technical problems.
