The Audi RS6 quattro or simply the RS6 is the most sporty A6 series car (more powerful than the Audi S6). Its main competitors in the market are the BMW M5 and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The C5 RS6 was the fourth model developed by Audi’s private subsidiary quattro GmbH. The first was the RS2 Avant, the second was the C4 S6 Plus, and the third was the 2000-year-old Audi RS4. This RS6 was the first model in the Audi RS series to be introduced in North America. The RS6 uses the Volkswagen Group’s C5 platform and was first delivered in a station wagon and then a sedan. The car has a 4.2-liter twin-turbine engine with two DOHC heads and 5 valves per cylinder. The 90 ° V8 petrol engine has been coordinated with Cosworth Technology. With the help of two turbochargers (one for each cylinder block), this engine has an impressive 450 hp / 5700 to 6400 rpm and 560 Nm of torque from 1950 to 5600 rpm. This engine is capable of losing a heavy car up to 100 km / h in just 4.9 seconds. The RS6 was produced exclusively with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, whose new central differential is also used in the 6.0-liter W12 Audi A8 model. The RS6 has the same four-link front suspension and a two-link rear suspension with a mechanically controlled DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) system that allows you to stabilize any of the shock absorbers when cornering, accelerating or braking. The front brakes are Brembo with eight pistons, the rear - single-piston ATE.
