In 2008, Audi unveiled the first S modification to the TT at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This car has the same 2.0 TFSI turbine engine as a simple TT, but it has been modified - the cylinder block, head and fuel injection system have been improved and now develops 200 kilowatts (272 hp) of power and 350 Newtons of torque maintained in the speed range between 2500 and 5000 rpm. The TTS with this engine speeds up to 100 km / h in 5.4 seconds (With S-tronic gearbox in 5.2 seconds), while the roadster is slightly slower at 5.6 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 kilometers per hour. The TTS is matched with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed S-tronic transmission. The car is 10 millimeters lower compared to a simple TT, has a new two-stage electronic stability system, more powerful brakes, improved steering, larger R18-inch rims. Some differences are also visible on the outside of the car - larger air intakes, LED lights, replaced rear bumper with four exhaust pipes, sills.
