In 2023, the MINI company took an important step - it presented the most important models of the new generation, the MINI Cooper hatchback and the third generation MINI Countryman crossover. As expected, both cars are also produced with electric power plants. Stylistically, the Little Cooper has been updated a bit more, while the Countryman has kept almost all the characteristics of its predecessor - an analogous profile of the car, similar headlights with slightly stricter shapes, the rear part has also remained similar, both in terms of the shape of the trunk lid and the taillights. The main design change is that the car has become smoother and sleeker - less chrome, details have become less expressive or prominent. As expected, the car has grown to provide even more space and practicality for family needs. MINI's latest crossover, which will compete with the likes of the Volvo EX30 and Kia Niro EV, is now 13cm longer and 6cm taller than its predecessor. Along with the longer wheelbase, the interior space has also increased. The trunk volume has increased to 460 liters, and when the rear seats are folded down, it increases to 1450 liters. There is also space under the boot floor to store charging cables for electric models. The rear seats can be moved forward and backward by 13 cm, and their backrests can be folded to six positions in a range of 12 degrees, thus significantly increasing the comfort of the rear passengers. If we look at the interior of the car, we can see significantly bigger changes than the exterior - stylish two-tone textile materials dominate the front panel and door trim, a comfortable thick steering wheel also with a material strip, stylish vertical air intakes, the round screen in the center of the car interior has remained, only this time the OLED screen is even 9 .4 inches in diameter and looks really cool because it's super thin. Countryman runs the new OS9 operating system based on Android software. Various entertainment and content settings are controlled through this screen. The new owners will be able to choose one of the seven "Mini Experience" modes, which allow you to personalize the environment using various shades on the screen, as well as light projections projected behind the round screen on the front panel and in the interior lighting. These modes are named Core, Green, Go-Kart, Personal, Vibrant, Timeless and Balance. For example, the "Timeless" mode will display the readings of the classic Mini on the central screen, and "Personal" allows the user to upload his background photo, and the system will choose the main color of the photo and use it not only on the screen, but also in the interior lighting. Another innovation in the MINI interior is the shift lever moved to the middle of the center console. Here, together with four other switches, it allows you to conveniently control the most important functions of the car, and the designers used the freed area for convenient storage of things. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to comfortably control the climate system - it is displayed and controlled on the aforementioned screen. Well, the main news is electric as usual - the Countryman has two electric versions. The weaker NI Countryman E" version has a 150 kW/204 hp engine. With it, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, one charge covers as much as 462 kilometers. Another version of this model, Countryman SE ALL4, is four-wheel drive, so it also reaches 100 km/h faster - in just 5.6 seconds. This version can travel 433 km (according to WLTP) after fully charging the car's battery.
