Introduced in 2003, the Mazda3 replaced the long-built Mazda 323. The car is built on Ford’s global C1 platform, which it shares with the Ford Focus, Volvo S40 and is produced in four-door sedan or five-door hatchback bodies. The new model was well received by both the press and buyers. The front suspension uses a MacPherson type and the rear suspension is multi-lever. The most powerful version in Europe is called the Mazda3 MPS (Mazda Performance Series) and has a 2.3 L DISI Turbo 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. The maximum power of this engine is 191 kW (260 hp) at 5500 rpm, and the maximum torque of 380 Nm is reached at an extremely low 3000 rpm. This means that the engine responds instantly to the accelerator pedal. Mazda3 MPS up to 100 km / h. accelerates in an incredibly short time - 6.1 seconds, and the electric speed limit is 250 km / h. The Mazda3 MPS is one of the most powerful front-wheel drive cars in the world. There are many differences between the Mazda3 MPS and the regular model. Compared to the standard Mazda3, the MPS version is equipped with stiffer springs and a larger stabilizer, as well as better-performing shock absorbers.
