The new MINI greets us with a classic MINI-style design - the same front end with large round headlights now offered with three different LED layouts, visually hidden center and rear pillars, long wheelbase, large wheels, short overhangs and hood and different colors the roof The design is obviously evolutionary, but one trend can be noticed - the design of the new MINI has become much more aesthetic and clean. The air intake grills and chrome surrounds that were so prevalent on previous models have been removed, as well as the plastic wheel arch surrounds. At the back, we see a few more changes - interesting triangular shaped lights with a fragment of the United Kingdom flag. They are connected by a strip on the tailgate that shows a greeting and goodbye animation. The new MINI is produced with electric and gasoline power plants. True, the electric car can only be purchased with a three-door version, while the gasoline versions are available with both three- and five-door versions. Although the dimensions of the petrol version are the same as the electric ones, the platform itself is different. There are two electric versions: Cooper Electric E and sporty Cooper Electric SE. The Mini Cooper E has a 40.7 kWh battery and is driven by a 135 kW/184 hp electric motor, while the Cooper SE version has a larger battery capacity of 54.2 kWh and a 160 kW/218 hp engine. The first model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and can cover a distance of up to 305 km (according to the WLTP standard) on a single charge. Meanwhile, the second reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and one charge allows you to travel 402 kilometers. Both models can be charged at 75kW and 95kW respectively, which means charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 30 minutes. The length of the car has remained very similar compared to its predecessor, but the width has increased. This has resulted in more room inside, but the rear seats are still cramped. The boot volume is now 200 liters and increases to 800 liters when the rear seats are folded down. The interior has undergone a major design update. Interestingly, like every MINI model since the rebirth of the brand in 2001, this car also has a round screen in the center of the cabin that gives it a vintage feel. This time, the OLED screen is even 9.4 inches in diameter, which looks really great because it is extremely thin. MINI runs a new OS9 operating system based on Android software. Various entertainment and content settings are controlled through this screen. The new owners will be able to choose one of the seven "Mini Experience" modes, which allow you to personalize the environment using various shades on the screen, as well as light projections projected behind the round screen on the front panel and in the interior lighting. These modes are named Core, Green, Go-Kart, Personal, Vibrant, Timeless and Balance. For example, the "Timeless" mode will display the readings of the classic Mini on the central screen, and "Personal" allows the user to upload his background photo, and the system will choose the main color of the photo and use it not only on the screen, but also in the interior lighting. Another innovation in the MINI interior is the shift lever moved to the middle of the center console. Here, together with four other switches, it allows you to conveniently control the most important functions of the car, and the designers used the freed area for convenient storage of things. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to comfortably control the climate system - it is displayed and controlled on the aforementioned screen. And finally, it's easy to spot the abundant use of two-tone textiles for the dashboard and door surfaces. So it looks very stylish, just great, finally the interior of a MINI matches the price of the car! True, it will be very interesting to see how durable and sustainable such a cabin will be, because after two years the car will not go to recycling.
