The revamped Grand Cherokee got a Quadra-Drive II four-wheel drive system, a rear-seat DVD player and an optional 5.7L Hemi V-8 engine. The new model emphasizes power and luxury, but other things to keep in mind - reduced noise, vibration and improved ride quality. But for the first time, Jeep prioritized off-road performance over off-road capabilities. The change in philosophy is due to the high interest in SUVs with many of the characteristics of a passenger car.
Not comfortable and interior plastic quality could be better

Car description
Hi, only own Jeep for a year and a half. Really fun suv, suitable not just for city driving but for some off roading too. Was choosing between x5, ML and xc90 but unexpectedly picked Jeep and very happy with the choice. Only repairs I've done was the plugs change and some bushes in the suspension. What I liked most was that repair prices are a lot smaller then other cars I was choosing from. It does 20-21 mpg in town and 28 mpg on the motorway. Strong points: automatic gearbox is very smooth, design is very nice (comparing to the older models). 3L CRD 215 bhp engine left a very good impression. For the car like that I really didn't expect to have all that power. Not expensive and very reliable. Because of square shape and big mirrors, very easy to park in the city. Weak points: interior and plastics are not the best quality, but it's a 4x4 so no need to pay big attention to that. Also what I don't like is a bad road visibility.
Performance
Didn't have any trouble with 3L CRD 215 bhp engine. Runs nice and has plenty of power.
Reliability, running costs
Not expensive comparing to x5, xcx90 and ML. Depreciates over the years but honestly, if you are looking to buy any of these cars, pick this Grand Cherokee. I'm very happy I picked it.
Recommendations to buyers
When buying second hand, bring it to the garage for a good inspection. Don't believe the seller :)
