For example, it is not appropriate to be mediocre - BMW employees seem to understand and appreciate this. So, the new BMW 3 Series has become a bit more attractive - the more aggressive front of the car (especially the tail and high hood "forehead" fits in perfectly with the rest of the car, now the proportions of all body parts are more balanced. While the car has remained similar to its predecessor and the rear end as two drops of water similar to the BMW 5 Series, the overall impression is positive. It remains to be seen how the designers' decisions will be evaluated over time. Like most new generation models, it has become larger in all directions - 9.3 cm longer, 3.7 cm wider at the front and 4.7 cm wider at the rear, the car’s base has grown 5 cm. In this way, there is even 10 cm more space for passengers in the cabin. The new body is stiffer and safer. Interior design is a big step forward. Instead of the asceticism that dominated its predecessor, this generation is dominated by subtlety and sophistication. The typical style of BMW designers does not prevent the comfortable arrangement of all devices without burdening the driver with a plethora of buttons. The famous iDrive system is constantly being improved by engineers, so it's no surprise that in this version the menu is arranged logically and the information is displayed in a high-quality and beautiful manner. The USB port on the center armrest will accept everything you connect - be it a mobile phone, a memory key or other equipment. Nice. Driving quality and driving pleasure have been the strongest features of the third-generation BMW series, all of which have been retained in this generation, and the 40 kg weight loss further emphasizes this. For the first time in a car in this class, BMW is offering an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is available with both diesel and petrol engines. This box comes with a Start-Stop system as standard. Needless to say, the automatic transmission works flawlessly. The most powerful is the 335i version with six cylinders, two turbines which allows to achieve 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The car can be ordered with the extremely attractive Driving Experience Control system, which allows you to choose from four driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Eco Pro. Thus, BMW continues to pursue its goals - to become a manufacturer of not only sporty, but also economical, well-balanced and delicately designed cars.
I was testing this car, drove it around 350 miles. It left a very good impression so my next car will be if not 3 series, then 5 series BMW with xdrive. Car is very easy to control, control panel isn't complicated and easy to get used to. Plenty of power, as soon as you press the accelerator you start hearing a lovely sound from under the bonnet. A bit disappointed with sound insulation. Audio system sounds not bad, all car controls are easy to reach. Interior quality is very high, only thing annoying was the 12v power supply, it's located too far so if you want to connect a Satnav, the cable will go over the whole dash and gearstick. Can't say anything else negative apart from the price, it is a lot for the car of it's class.
