Take a look at the new Volvo V60, again ... Isn’t this a great design for this station wagon? We have already forgotten the times when the design of Volvo cars was considered synonymous with angled and strict shapes. Volvo now offers stylish, attractive cars, but with a well-preserved distinctive Volvo style. Although the V60 has the same length and wheelbase as the S60, it looks longer and lower visually thanks to the body type and sloping roof. Clearly, the new sporty-looking V60 is trying to take away buyers of the BMW 3 Series Estate. True, the attractive style has another side - the access to the boot is high enough, and the boot volume is only 430 liters (even 60 liters less than the Audi A4). We fold the rear seats (the seat back is divided into the following parts: 40/20/40) and we only get 1246 liters of space, which is all 59 liters less than the body of a regular VW Golf hatchback! Inside, there are already well-known elements of Volvo's style - a luxurious-looking "through" center console, original instrument panel displays, very soft lines dominate everywhere, device controls in the center console are richly grouped, while in other places they are really few and distracting. It is necessary to praise the extremely comfortable and perfectly supportive front seats, as well as the spacious enough rear seats. The car's front MacPherson-type and rear independent suspension are comfortably matched, so journeys won't be long, but it's also important to keep in mind when cornering - the car has a significant tilt angle and the steering wheel feels a little too "light". Still, the car is extremely quiet and is one of the leaders in its class in this setting. The car is offered with five petrol engines - starting with the smallest T3 1.6 liter with 150 hp and ending with the most powerful T6 3.0 liter engine with 304 hp. The diesels are: the most economical DRIVe, the average D3 2.0-liter with 163 hp and the most powerful 2.4-liter D5 with two turbines reaching 205 hp. The six-speed manual transmission features gears that are a little too stretched, so we recommend the Geartronic automatic transmission. Customers can order the Pedestrian Detection System, which automatically stops the car (if the speed does not exceed 35 km / h) if there is a risk of a person striking the street or to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle. Rest assured - Volvo will never forget safety.
