It’s one of those cars that’s extremely hard to criticize, but at the same time hard to stay surprised by. It’s a great car that has pushed the quality cartel even higher. The design of the seventh generation Golf is evolutionary - all design elements have remained the same, only become a bit sharper and more aggressive, even more adapted to the style promoted by the company. The headlights were inspired by the Passat, Polo and Phaeton models, and the rear lights by the same Passat. The car not only looks more dynamic, modern but also gives a greater security impression. The Golf has become lighter, although it is 5 cm longer, as well as its wheelbase. Advantages everywhere - the car's wheels are closer to the corners, making the Golf look sportier, with more space in the cabin and increased security. The novice's interior is dominated by subtle style and high-quality materials. All Golf variants have a 5.8-inch LED touchscreen, though it’s not perfect. The screen reproduces colors with poor quality and is reluctant to respond to clicks. The instrument panel is standard and simple - two bright arrows show the essential parameters: speed and engine speed. Between the speedometer and the tachometer is a black and white display that shows the main parameters of the car: fuel consumption, radio or MP3 information, navigation system instructions or just time. Simple, subtle, but always trendy. Another important advantage is that the car is really spacious not only for the passengers sitting in the front, but also for the passengers sitting in the rear seats. Here, there will be enough space for two adult passengers not only on the shoulders, head, but also on the legs. The trunk space will not disappoint either. Most Golf buyers will choose one of two TDI diesel engines: the 1.6 or 1.9 versions. The first has 104 hp, the second 150 hp. Perfectly grounded and petrol 1.4 TSI engine with 140 hp. All Mk7 Golf is equipped with a standard engine Stop / Start and brake energy recovery system. Bluemotion versions help maximize fuel savings and reduce CO2 emissions to an impressive 82g / km. On the road, the car behaves impeccably - the engines delight in good torque, the suspension is refined, perfectly absorbs the unevenness of the road, but does not distract the driver from the driving process. Not surprisingly, a lot is always expected of the new generation of Golf, so no weaknesses would be excused for him. Volkswagen is well aware of this and how it has become commonplace not to disappoint buyers.
