Volkswagen Atlas, 2017 - present
The Volkswagen Atlas is one of the largest Volkswagen cars ever produced. As the Atlas is positioned between the compact SUV Tiguan and the Touareg, it can be concluded that the Atlas is intended for buyers looking primarily for a spacious, practical and reasonably priced SUV. The 5037mm long and 1979mm wide SUV is the same size as the Land Rover Range Rover or Mercedes-Benz GLS, but much cheaper than them. This is a car that needs to succeed in the North American market. The car’s body lines are quite modest and unpretentious. The impression of strength is created by a line running across the side and above the wheel arches. The design is designed to be durable and radiate German precision and precision. Such an image will definitely help sell cars in the US where German cars are highly valued. Inside, there is plenty of space for up to seven adults and their luggage. To access the third-row seats, a convenient second-row seat folding mechanism has been devised that works even with child seats. The Volkswagen Atlas has two engines - a 2.0-liter direct-injection TSI Turbo petrol engine with 234 hp and a 3.6-liter atmospheric VR6 engine with 275 hp. Both units are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and to front or all-wheel drive. A hybrid version of the Atlas is also expected to be introduced, which should help correct the poor image of Volkswagen in the United States.
