The Toyota Prius is a hybrid gasoline-powered mid-range car. It is the first mass-produced hybrid car in the world. The Prius features Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive technology, which allows long-term use of the electric motor without the need to switch to a fuel-powered system. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Prius became the most fuel-efficient car on sale in the U.S. in 2008, with the UK Department for Transport reporting that the Prius is the third lowest CO2-emitting car in the UK. This car has become a flagship for other hybrid cars that any self-respecting carmaker must put into series production. Among other things, it is the European car of the year 2005. The Prius stands between the Corolla and Camry in size, and its aerodynamics factor is just 0.26. Other pluses include quiet driving on the road, good maneuverability, a large interior space and luggage compartment, and of course the biggest plus is low fuel consumption. Disadvantages - low power, not very well-supporting seats.
