The Toyota Hilux is a compact pickup truck known worldwide as an SUV of extraordinary durability. The Toyota Hilux has gained this reputation for its exceptional strength and reliability over a long period of time when used in harsh conditions. He was chosen as the "indestructible car" on the BBC's Top Gear when the 1988 Toyota Hilux was tested for 308,000 km. The car was “tortured” at all (drowned, burned, crushed, thrown, etc.), but it never stopped working. These SUVs can cover over 500,000 km with regular maintenance and they still don’t stop working. The car is otherwise famous - it is called the most popular car for military purposes. It is particularly popular for a variety of military purposes in warring third world countries and "hot" regions. The conflict between Libya and Chad was also called the "Toyota War" due to the extensive use of SUVs by the Chadian army.
