Tesla Roadster, 2007 - 2011
The Tesla Roadster is a fully electric sports car. This is the very first car developed by Tesla Motors. The Roadster can travel 393 km on a single charge of a lithium-ion battery and can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour (0-97 km / h) in 3.9 seconds. An improved version of the Sport was introduced in January 2009 with adjustable shock absorbers and a new engine capable of accelerating the car from 0-60 miles per hour (0-97 km / h) in just 3.7 seconds. The efficiency of the Roadster model is reported to be about 2.0 L / 100 km. The car was developed with the help of a Lotus company that provided suspension elements borrowed from the Lotus Elise model.
