Subaru WRX, 2021 - present
Subaru has introduced a new generation WRX model, although the car has long had no links to the WRC World Rally Championship. The new model has retained the already familiar composition - it is a dynamic-shaped sedan with a four-cylinder opposition turbo engine, all-wheel drive and very similar in style and composition to its predecessor. The new car retains the typical hints of the Subaru WRX style: a large front bumper, strong wheel arches, a large air intake on the bonnet that directs air to the intercooler. At the rear we see four air vents and a small trunk spoiler. From the outside, the newcomer is easiest to distinguish due to its sharply shaped headlights and square-shaped wheel arches. In addition, the shape of the car became a little more close to the ground, not as roughly angled as its predecessor. This design solution looks really appealing. Inside, we see a couple of sporty Recaro seats, a dashboard similar to the Impreza model, only here we see a large LCD information system control screen in the center and some carbon fiber details, as well as a leather sports steering wheel with a flat bottom. The new WRX is powered by a well-known turbocharged Subaru petrol engine, only now its displacement has been increased from 2.0 liters to 2.4 liters. The new engine, along with the new turbocharger, produces 267 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but an eight-speed CVT automatic transmission is also available. Each WRX is of course equipped with four-wheel drive as standard.
