The second-generation Levorg was introduced in Japan and will not be sold in North American markets for the first time. The current engine in the car is the 1.8 L CB18, which has both a much higher torque that now reaches 300 Nm and better fuel economy with a lean fuel mix. The new Levorg is sold under the name WRX Sportswagon in Australia and as the WRX GT in New Zealand. In Australia and New Zealand, the Levorg is fitted with a larger FA24F 2.4-liter direct-injection turbo engine. The Levorg version of the engine, also known as the STI Sport R, will also be available in the Japanese market. The second-generation Subaru Levorg has been announced as the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit model that won the Japan car in 2020-2021. This is the third time Subaru has won this prestigious award.
