The Spyker C8 is a Dutch sports car with a wide range of versions. The car has an extravagant design, the details of which reflect the past of the Spyker company as a manufacturer of aircraft engines. The doors that open to the top, the many air vents - make the car very emotional, expressive and “alive”. You’d definitely appreciate that by sitting in the car’s interior, which has been crafted by combining retro style with luxury and sportiness (the car truly resembles the cockpit of a World War I aircraft). The Spyker C8 has a center-mounted engine, an extra-rigid aluminum chassis, an aluminum body and a very stiff but stable suspension. The car holds the road perfectly, the steering wheel listens with ideal precision, but it is as comfortable to drive as it is to transport with wooden wheels. The base version has an Audi 4.2-liter V8 engine with 400 hp (290 kW) and reaches a maximum speed of 300 km / h. The C8 spyder T has a more powerful 4.2-liter V8 engine with two turbines, 525 hp (386 kW) and a maximum speed of 320 km / h. The C8 Double 12R version is designed specifically for 24-hour Le Mans racing, while the road version C8 Double 12S can even have a 600 hp engine. The LaTurbie version of the Spyker C12 has a longer wheelbase and a 12-cylinder 6.0-liter Audi W12 engine with 500 hp. All of these cars are very similar in appearance. However, they should not be confused with the Spyker C12 Zagato, as this one is different in every way. The Spyder C8 Double 12R race car participates in a range of different races, including the 24-hour Le Mans endurance race, the FIA GT series and elsewhere.
