Lighter, more manoeuvrable and more economical, the Porsche Cayenne opens a new page in the model's history. The new Cayenne looks shorter, smaller visually, although in fact all the dimensions of the car have increased. Cayenne has maintained the style of the model and the overall Porsche - the car has round, soft but muscular shapes. You’ll find really little design innovation here - a bit more sloping struts, a “sportier” roof line, side mirrors now attached to the door, smaller side windows, new-shaped taillights, front LED lights. There is really little innovation, but the result is pleasing to the eye. In the interior, meanwhile, we’ll find a brand new panel similar to the one the Porsche Panamera has, especially the center console. It is packed with a variety of control buttons, and the center-mounted LCD screen, convenient gearbox control lever, large air vents and high handles give passengers a “cockpit” feel for a sports car. The car comes with a wide range of comfort features, and the best versions feature four-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, rear view camera, heated rear seats, remote engine start and even a compass. Although the new Cayenne is larger, its weight has been significantly reduced - different versions weigh 180-250 kg less than its predecessor. This has been achieved by simplifying the transmission, which will no longer have a special off-road gearbox mode, and by increasing the use of aluminum, which now makes the bonnet, axles, doors and other components. Despite the fact that the car now has a lower ground clearance and is oriented towards normal road use, the manufacturer claims that the passability properties have even improved. Buyers can choose from three petrol engines: the 3.6 V6 300 hp in the base model, the atmospheric 4.8 L V8 395 hp in the S variant, and the 4.8 L V8 493 hp in the Turbo version with a turbocharger. The last two engines are the same as in the Panamera model. A 3.0-liter V6 240 hp diesel unit will also be offered, consuming only 7.4 liters of fuel per 100 km of road. Still, the main news is the Cayenne S Hybrid version with a hybrid drive - a “small” borrowed from Audi (the same is the case with the VW Touareg hybrid model) The 3.0 L V6 petrol engine is paired with an electric motor. The total power output of the power plant is 375 hp, the maximum torque of 579 Nm will make you feel like driving a V8 engine, and the average fuel consumption is only 8.2 l / 100 km of road.
