The Peugeot 307 is a small family car that became the European Car of the Year in 2002. This car was produced without the fact that the model 308 (since 2007) is already being manufactured and replaced. The 307 uses an improved 306 model platform, which is also used in the Citroen Xsara and Citroen ZX. However, the 307 is larger in all directions than the 306. The 307 continues the company's design style seen in the Peugeot 206 and Peugeot 607 - a sharp-rising bonnet, extended headlights, and a sloping windshield. Peugeot no longer developed the style created by Pininfarina, which could be seen in the older Peugeot - 307, 205 or 406. The height of the new car is 1510 mm, it is a considerable car - it is taller than most direct competitors and almost equal to a minivan. Maybe that's why Peugeot didn't introduce any mini MPV like that did the Citroen with the Xsara Picasso. The 307 was produced with 3- and 5-door hatchback, station wagon and coupe / convertible bodies. The Peugeot 307 was used in the WRC Championship, where it replaced the 206 model. The 307 WRC with coupe body was still not a successful rally car - it had a lot of transmission problems and achieved only 3 victories.
