Lamborghini is not new to the SUV market. The company started its journey with the production of tractors, and in 1986 offered the rectangular Lamborghini LM002 SUV with a four-seater cabin. The modified engine of the Lamborghini Countach supercar at the time reached 450 hp and provided dynamic features never seen before in the SUV market. However, that car was more reminiscent of a Hummer H1 than a sporty SUV ... Times changed and a strong market for sporty SUVs gradually emerged, dominated by the AMG and Brabus G-Class Mercedes-Benz, later the popular Porsche Cayenne, and later the M-Series BMW. Thanks to the Cayenne model alone, the Porsche company has dramatically expanded its customer base and started calculating unexpected profits. In recent years, another wave of sports SUVs has been felt - we have received the most expensive, fastest and most powerful production SUV Bentley Bentayga, as well as the Italian Maserati Levante. So it’s time for the Lamborghini company to remember its origins as well. The new Urus model is positioned not so much as a luxury SUV, but more as the only true SUV. All four Urus wheels are powered by a front-mounted V8 turbocharged 4-liter engine. It gives Lamborghini the opportunity to confirm its own bold statements: the car’s acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h. takes just 3.6 seconds, from 0 to 100 km / h. - in 12.8 seconds, the top speed reaches 305 km / h. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that transmits power to all four drive wheels. The torque is usually divided by a ratio of 40/60 between the front and rear wheels, up to 70% if required. torque can only be supplied to the front wheels and up to 87 percent. to the rear. True, fans of Lamborghini can be a bit disappointing - Urus is not completely unique and uses the Volkswagen Group's MLB Evo platform, which is also used in other luxury SUVs - Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg. But this is unlikely to be important to customers. In addition to excellent dynamic parameters and a truly typical design for sports cars, the Urus also has a fairly large 616-liter boot that can be increased to 1,596 liters.
