Not every year you have to see a brand new Lamborghini piece, so such a premiere is always followed with great interest and curiosity - what will be presented by this unique sports car company. The Aventador is designed to replace the long-established Murcielago. It is now the fastest and most powerful Lamborghini of all time. The car retains the same design style as its predecessors, the Diablo or Countach, but its unique lines are even sharper, much like the recently released Reventon. Inside, a simple and beautifully finished dashboard delights with perfectly matched lines to the exterior design. The driver's eyes have bright engine speeds, an alluring steering wheel and great seats around him. What more might be needed? Still, the most important innovation this time around is the ultra-light and rigid carbon fiber body. This is certainly not a miracle in the world of the automotive industry, but most often this material is used only for the production of certain body parts - hoods, roof or bumpers. Meanwhile, the Aventador frame is all made of carbon fiber, as well as ultra-rigid plastics and polymers, so it can be said that Lamborghini has created one of the strongest and lightest construction cars in the world. This construction is made easy to comprehend - the bare machine frame, without any plastic or other sheet metal, weighs just 147.5 kg, weighs only 229 kg with the entire chassis and front and rear deflection zone, and is twice the rigidity of the Murcielago! However, this is not the only innovation associated with the Aventador. The arrangement of most of the suspension elements in this model is "borrowed" from racing cars - for example, shock absorbers lying almost perpendicular to the wheel, when in most cars they do not "lie" but "stand" parallel to the rim. This lightweight is armed with a really non-average engine - the 6.5-liter V12 powerplant reaches 691 hp (515 kW). The dynamic data of this extraordinary car raises a new cartel of requirements for all "supercars" - speed from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds, and the maximum speed is 350 km / h. All in all, Lamborghini’s claim that Aventador outperforms all its competitors by several generations doesn’t sound so arrogant.
In Top Gear, the Aventador beat the track in 1.16.5 seconds and became the third fastest car tested after the McLarenMP4-12C and Ariel Atom V8.

Lamborghini Aventador can be met in video games such as Forza Motorsport 4, Need for Speed: The Run or Asphalt: Injection.

It is estimated that only 4,000 units of this great car will be produced.
