Jeep Wrangler, 1997 - 2006
The revamped legendary "jeep" (built on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform) has once again acquired round headlights and a number of improvements - a larger fuel tank, child seat mountings, a new steering wheel and dashboard. But Wrangler remained what it was - archaic, tough, and weather-resistant, just catching the eye. All models have a hinged windshield, removable doors and roof, and a waterproof interior. Drivers can choose a hard roof or fabric. Jeep owners appreciate it for its driving characteristics, style, just the fun of driving. Others complain of leaky plastic windows, instability in crosswinds, a small luggage compartment, poor economy and noise.
