The new Infiniti M45 / M35 was launched in 2006 and is designed to compete directly with mid-size luxury and sporty sedans - the BMW 5 Series, Acura, Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The car has a reinforced G35 / 350Z / FX Nissan FM platform and two engines - VQ series 3.5 L V6 280 hp (208 kW) or Q45 4.5 L V8 335 HP (249 kW). The media rates the Infiniti M as one of the best compared to its competitors. Despite the fierce competition, Infinity has something to offer - the M35 and M45 are the fastest in their class (0-100 km / h in 6.3 and 5.4 seconds respectively). The Infiniti is one of the best in terms of interior dimensions - it is more spacious than the larger Infiniti Q45. The M45 is powerful, with excellent multi-link rear suspension and double wishbones at the front, friendly ergonomics, sporty handling and a lot of electronic innovation. The car can be produced with all-wheel drive. Disadvantages - the car still lacks the uniqueness in this segment that the BMW 5 Series or Lexus GS have.
