Honda Accord, 1989 - 1993
The fourth-generation Honda Accord has become significantly larger and more robust than the previous version model. It was the first Accord to be designed not as a 3-door hatchback, but as a traditional sedan. The look of the car has become more conservative and at the same time more acceptable to European and US buyers. Now the Honda Accord no longer had folding headlights or other highly expressive design details. But the new design was really great - perfectly balanced proportions, large windows, a sporty body with small shapes fascinate even today. Sportiness, reliability and attractive design were what the buyer needed at the time, and the Honda Accord was a huge success on both sides of the Atlantic. The engine range was fitted with larger displacements of 2.2 liters with 16 valves and 2.0 liters with 12 valves. Another interesting feature of this car is that it was the first non-exotic car to have an engine made of aluminum. For the first time, a version of the Honda Accord coupe was no longer available for all markets, and in 1991, Honda introduced a version of the Accord station wagon. Rare versions of the Accord with all four steered wheels were also produced - the same system as the Honda Prelude.
