The Puma was a front-wheel drive, Ford Fiesta based 3-door coupe with 2 + 2 seats. It had 15-inch alloy wheels, front disc brakes as standard. Stylistically, Puma continued the Ford New Edge style seen in the Ford Ka. Although not as controversial as the Ford Ka, the Puma has received good reviews from critics as a proportionate, dynamic cat-shaped style car. Puma was sold only in Europe, and in 2002 its production was discontinued without any other change of model. Instead, a Ford StreetKa two-seater convertible was built on the Fiesta base and borrowed a Puma transmission and suspension.
