The appearance of the modern-day Fiat 500 koger in 2008 saved the Fiat company, because apart from the Fiat 500 family models and the Fiat Panda model, the company could no longer boast of anything. But no matter how successful the Fiat 500 project was, the small, stylish and inexpensive car is now found not only on the streets of Italy, but is extremely popular throughout Europe. Not all retro-style competitors did so well - let’s say the Volkswagen Beetle didn’t have good sales. Due to its great success, the Fiat 500 has been produced almost without modification for as long as 12 years, making the appearance of this new second-generation model a special event. It looks like the company is updating its most precious gem at the same time - with the acceleration of the automotive electrification industry. So the new 500 is now only produced with an electric motor - an 87 kW electric motor powered by a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery provides a distance of up to 320 km according to WLTP. This power plant is enough for a small car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds, and the city-relevant speed of 50 km / h in just 3.1 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 150 km / h. So the Fiat 500 is a real city car - it has always been and is even better. The style of the car has remained very similar to its predecessor. Not surprisingly, the design of the first-generation Fifty was great and, in fact, didn’t look outdated even after 12 years of production. Larger changes are visible in the interior. Here, the manufacturer abandoned the emphatically round shapes that dominated everywhere, from the instrument panel to the air vents and buttons in the center console. The new interior style looks really great - the dashboard lines have of course remained rounded, but have become a little more subtle and solid. The emphasis is now on horizontalness, which is in perfect harmony with the "horizontal" two-spoke steering wheel and the device control buttons arranged in three horizontal lines. Car interior materials are used from recycled materials which makes the car fashionable not only stylistically. The Fiat 500 can be charged in a number of ways, both at home via the standard 220 V mains and via the optional quick-charge module. In fast charge mode, the car can be charged up to 80% in 35 minutes.
