The Ferrari F430 replaced the 360 Modena model. Although the F430 is built on a heavily modified 360 chassis, the bodywork is new: more dynamic with Enzo-type taillights, with Testarossa-style indentations on the side mirrors and large front air vents that clearly resemble 60’s Ferrari F1 cars. Alongside the new design, a completely new 4.3 L V8 petrol engine was introduced from a Ferrari / Maserati project. This new power plant is a significant milestone, as all previous V8 Ferrari engines were descendants of the Dino V12 engine developed since the 1950s. The new engine has 360 kW (483 hp) / 8500 rpm and 465 Nm / 5250 rpm of torque. The F430 reaches a top speed of 317 km / h. There are also several special versions for racetracks. One of these is the 430 Scuderia, which replaced a special version of the Challenge Stradale. Scuderia presented Michael Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed to compete with the Porsche 911 RS, the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera models are lighter at around 100 kg than the standard F430 and more powerful at 515 hp (379 kW) / 8500 rpm. In this way, the weight to weight ratio is reduced from 2.96 kg / hp to 2.5 kg / hp. The Ferrari 430 Scuderia accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 319 km / h. Overall, the car is praised for its impeccable handling and excellent high-speed starting system.
