Returning to the market in 2009 with a bang, the Chevrolet Camaro was greeted by fan applause and impressive roles in glorious Hollywood films such as Transformers. In what direction will this American road legend continue to develop? The value of the Camaro is strongly boosted by the units borrowed from the amazing new Corvette. The Camaro SS version has an impressive 6.25 V8 engine that sounds amazing and works perfectly in the full rev range. Non-SS versions can be equipped with smaller ones, including the unexpectedly modest 2.0-liter turbo engine or with a 335 hp V6 engine. An area that really disappoints is car design. Yes, it became more aggressive, sharper and even more “angry”, new lines appeared on the hood and sides of the car. The car has become sleeker, more like a sports car. But after all, the Camaro doesn't have to be a sports car… It's a real "macho" car, which doesn't care about the cut parts of the seconds in one wheel, it doesn't matter the details and details. It’s designed to show off rough power, big muscles and the roar of V8 sound that image is all about. If we look at the history of the Camaro, it is the models of the generation that are most appreciated, which were not characterized by sleekness, but by the expressiveness of the lines, the "character" of the design. Well, but let the buyers decide. When sitting in the driver's seat, there is very limited visibility of the environment in all directions. Since passengers can’t see much outside, they will have to watch more inside the car. The good news here is that the car's interior materials are much better than their predecessor's. The new model also has something that no predecessor had before - the Camaro has become well-operated. The weight balance of the car has become more neutral, the grip of the front wheels is much better, the small steering wheel is very fun and accurately conveys the driver's movements to the wheels. So it will be very interesting to watch as the Camaro we challenge our main opponent Ford Mustang and especially the steroid versions of it - GT and Shelby GT.
