The first-generation BMW X1 never looked like an SUV, even a compact one. Maybe that’s why he didn’t win the hearts of buyers. The developers of the second-generation BMW X1 have decided to correct this mistake - the car is now 53 mm higher and 23 mm wider. Because the newcomer is built on the same platform as the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, it can be considered a more front-wheel drive than rear-wheel drive car. The BMW X1 is no longer as sharp on the road as the BMW 3 Series, but it is still among the best in its class in terms of stability and handling. Don't be fooled - a more solid car exterior doesn't mean it has become a more real SUV. If you’re interested in similar crossover passability features, consider the Range Rover Evoque. But what the owners of the BMW X1 will be able to enjoy is a much larger luggage space - now it reaches 505 liters, even 85 liters more than it used to be. When we lower the seats, we get all 1,550 liters, which is 200 liters more than its predecessor and 135 liters more than our direct competitor Audi Q3. It is clear that the developers of the BMW X1 sought to give this promising model more real off-road features. We are waiting for the reaction of buyers.
