The second-generation Bentley Continental GT is an evolutionary model rather than a revolutionary one. The car has retained its former features - low profile, wide station and huge radiator grille. Inside, the changes are also subtle, and the quality and comfort as expected should be met at the highest level. The truth on the rear seats is surprisingly cramped, and the low roofline and small windows evoke a claustrophobic feel. The Continental GT is offered with two engines: the old 6.0-liter W12 and the new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 500 hp (373 kW) and 660 Nm. Although the latter is much smaller, the power is not inferior to the larger, and the economy is significantly better (the engine is controlled by a special program that allows only 4 cylinders to work, thus improving fuel consumption by 8%). Not to forget that the Continental GT is a huge car and it doesn’t turn well in corners, making the smaller and lighter V8 engine a plus here as well. Bentley Continental GT is a car for two people sitting in front, who appreciate uncompromising comfort, but who do not refuse to have more fun to press the accelerator pedal.
In 2012, Bentley announced that a version of the Continental GT Speed would be produced that would reach an incredible 330 km / h. This model will also be armed with an impressive engine - a two-turbine 6.0-liter W12 with 616 hp.
