The new Audi A5 is produced in a coupe or convertible body and competes directly with the BMW E92 3 Series Coupe or Convertible and the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class. The car is built on a fourth-generation A4 platform with petrol and diesel engines. This Audi modular longitudinal platform is characterized by the fact that it does not have the protrusion in front of the front wheels typical of previous Audi. The front axle is pushed forward, which means that the wheelbase lengthens (thus increasing the car’s stability and interior space without increasing the car’s dimensions), and the engine is retracted more to the center, giving the car a better weight distribution between the front and rear axles (again means better control of the car). The weight distribution between the A5 axles is almost ideal - 52:48. Although the car is built on the A4 platform, the design of the A5 is different. Still, this car retains Audi's distinctive style with a large single-frame decorative grille on the front and LED headlights. The car radiates power and a solid station. In the interior, the instrument panel is analogous to the A4 model, and the materials are only of the highest quality. The all-wheel drive system normally delivers 60 percent of its power to the rear wheels, giving the feeling that the car is driven only by the rear wheels. The A5 is the third coupe in the Audi range, next to the second-generation TT and R8. The most powerful version has a 3.2 L V6 FSI petrol 265 hp (261 hp / 195 kW) engine. Cons? The small rear seat coupe for the car is not a minus.
