The new Audi Q8 is another four-door coupe - a combination of elegance and practicality. Another, but the first of its kind in the Audi family. This car is a direct competitor to the BMW X6, which has been in production for many years. Surprisingly, Audi has only now introduced this model, as the need for such hybrid bodies has been on the market for a very long time. The car has a slightly bolder design than our other unattractive conservative other Audi models lately. It can be said that in this car we see Audi design trends for the near future - octagonal radiator grille, additional headlights hidden under dark glass and integrated under the main, bold angled lines above the wheel arches (doesn’t that remind you of the legendary Audi S1 coupe?) . It's fun to see an SUV with a door without a window frame - immediately reminiscent of Subaru's all-terrain models. The car is truly eye-catching and more attractive than the latest BMW X6, although design appreciation is a matter for every taste. But the mufflers in the rear bumper of a car are no matter of taste - it’s completely tasteless. The Audi Q8, despite the model name, is still slightly smaller than the Audi Q7. At 4.99 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.71 meters high, the SUV coupe is wider, shorter and lower than its sister Audi Q7. Inside, we can see the truly exclusive Audi interior, which is already becoming standard, with a glass-filled front panel. The user interface operating on two large LCD screens is extremely well designed to make it unpleasant or difficult to use. Everything has to provide a feeling of pleasure, so the touch-sensitive screens are extremely precise, simulating the operation of physical buttons by vibrating and emitting sound. The multimedia system is controlled at the top of the screen, and the bottom of the screen is for climate control control, text input and comfort function settings. There is also a third screen, the already familiar Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel. The Audi Q8 has a partial hybrid system (MHEV). When braking, the system stores up to 12 kW of energy in the batteries, and MHEV technology allows you to run for a long time with the engine switched off, as well as decelerating the engine while still at 22 km / h. speed. This saves fuel. What do you think of this car? Write your opinion in the comments box below.
